Businesses in Kapuskasing will celebrate their success next Saturday, Sept. 14 with the annual Northern Corridor Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala. Office manager Donna Todd says several awards are being handed out including the prestigious Business of the Year.
“We had quite a few businesses nominated for this category,” she said. “We had 12 judges and it came down to the top three who are Chez Lizette, Uniglass plus Zibart and Val Albert Motors.”
Oliver Rickard the owner of First Nation Timber is being presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award. More than 250 people are expected for the event that takes place at the Centre de Loisirs beginning at 5 pm.
