Province Promises to Keep Provincial Parks in Operation

The province is extending its commitment to our provincial parks.

Ivanhoe Lake near Folyet, Fushimi Lake north of Hearst and Rene Brunelle in Moonbeam are all part of its operating area.

The province says the agreement to maintain the parks in 2015 has been extended all the way to 2019.

The provincial parks sector employs thousands at its 330 locations in Ontario.

The province says those parks represent 8.5 million visits and over $70 million of revenue every year throughout Ontario.
