A broken transmission pole in an isolated area made it challenging for Hydro one crews to get the repairs done quickly.
That’s the word from spokesperson Bianca Teixeira. Residents from Moonbeam to Opasatika were without power on Friday afternoon and into Saturday for as much as 24 hours.
Teixeira says areas that have isolated road access due to weather conditions can also cause delays in restoration efforts. She’s adds that’s she checking into whether further outages will be needed to fix any outstanding issues and is hopeful for an update in the near future.
