A schedule change is being made to a professional development day for teachers across our region, because of the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8th.
That day will now be PD Day, instead of Friday, April 26th. All four school boards confirm the change, because the eclipse will be at its peak at normal dismissal times.
Looing at the eclipse without proper eye protection could result in partial or complete loss of eyesight. In addition, the boards don’t want kids walking home during the brief period of darkness caused by the moon passing between the sun and the Earth.Na
