A Cochrane resident is facing numerous charges following an historical sexual assault investigation by Ontario Provincial Police. Last weekend, a police investigation began and concluded when an arrest was made after a search warrant was used.
A 39 year old is facing three counts of possession of a firearm contrary to probation order, two counts of careless storage of a firearm or weapon, two counts of knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, two counts of cruelty to animals, and two counts of possession of methamphetamine.
The person is also charged with sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching Under 16, administer noxious thing, assault, traffic of a substance Ecstasy, possession of cocaine, and possession of an opioid.
The accused remains in custody following a bail hearing and police won’t be releasing names to protect the identity of the victims.
