The Kapuskasing Rotary Club’s Winter Wonderland Parade is ready to mark its third year on Sunday, Dec. 3rd. Parade spokesperson Marianne Michaud says participants will gather at the Sports Palace parking lot where they will leave at 2 pm.
“Businesses will have floats and so will organizations, non-profit as well,” she said. “I have a few churches involved and always love this time of year. Some will be giving out candy I’m sure, so have your little ones on the side of the road and not on the street and it should be fun.”
The route is the same as last year winding its way down to Brunetville Road and then through to downtown before ending at the Welcome Centre.
Michaud tells us how you can get involved.
“We will be plastering the town with posters with an email address on it for you to send an email,” she said. “And then once you send your email or contact us through the Rotary of Kapuskasing page on Facebook, I will get you the registration form. We will do all the forms in advance.”
She adds that volunteers are always needed and that’s a perfect place for those to get hours in and lend a hand.
