Finding Rudolph holiday promotion returns for Chamber

The Northern Corridor Chamber of Commerce has brought back its ‘Finding Rudolph’ campaign for another holiday season.

The Kapuskasing area promotion that puts a poster of Rudolph in stores got underway on Monday, while Hearst begins on Saturday. Donna Todd says there are a few changes that will help to keep people in stores longer.

“We’re encouraging people to make a purchase go into the stores and fill out a ballot to win the $50 gift card from each participating store on a daily basis,” she said.

There is a weekly prize of $100. The grand prize draw is for $1,000 in Chamber bucks that will be made on the final week before Christmas. That cash can be used at the businesses who have signed up.

Todd says local businesses have told her they have been struggling the past year so she hopes this campaign will go a long way to help.

“We have to really instill that we have to think local, shop local, eat local,” she said. “It’s a trend that we have to continue to encourage people to shop local so that we have retail stores.”

A Smooth Rock Falls to Cochrane promotion kicks off later this month.
