Sensenbrenner Hospital in Kapuskasing held a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil the new in-patient pharmacy last week.
The project was the first fundraising campaign for the hospital foundation but it was delayed due to shipping issues. A donation of $750,000 helped to pay for the renovations that were necessary under the regulatory authorities.
An expansion to the pharmacy allowed for the relocation of the Chemo Administration to be done at the pharmacy in separate rooms. That included a change where chemotherapy drugs would be administered from the emergency department to a room adjacent to the pharmacy.
