‘Storm’ swirls around Iroquois Falls Storm

Kevin Walker is out as head coach of the Iroquois Falls Storm after seven games in the team’s first season in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.

Team owner Tom Nickolau confirms Walker’s removal to the website Hockey News North, saying the team is going in a different direction. We’ve reached out to Nickolau for an interview for more details.

The storm won its first three games, then dropped four before management dropped Walker.  Nickolau coached the Friday night game in Hearst, which the Storm also lost.  He says he’ll continue as interim coach until Walker’s replacement is found.
