The Northern Corridor Chamber of Commerce teamed up with North Claybelt Community Futures Development Corporation for an appreciation barbeque today on the circle in Kap during the lunch hour. Donna Todd from the Chamber says it’s a great opportunity to thank all of the clients served in the area.
“We’re definitely looking at doing this probably twice a year in the spring and in the fall,” she said. “We are looking at having a expo for businesses at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Friday and Saturday September 8th and 9th.”
Todd says numerous organizations pitched up their tents and handed out information.
“From Believe and Grow, speech and language services, College Boreal, Employment Options, Cochrane District Social Services Admin Board, Reseau du Nord, Centre de Sante, Cochrane-Temiskaming resource centre, figure skating club, North Cochrane Addiction Services, as well as the Alzheimer’s Society,” she said.
The Chamber is also gearing up for its signature event the Business Awards Gala at the end of September at the Centre de Loisirs.
