Ontario Provincial Police have arrested a Jogues man in connection with the rash of vandalism incidents in Hearst that occurred for nearly a month.
Police say during that stretch a total of 36 vehicles were targeted with 23 windows smashed, and 100 tires slashed. Four building windows and a garage door were also damaged separate incidents. The total estimate of the damage is nearly $100,000.
A 41 year old is facing a total of 48 charges including six counts of mischief over $5,000; 16 counts of mischief under $5,000; Fourteen counts of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose; ten counts of trespassing and a charge of theft under $5,000.
