A Timmins duo took home the top prize of $11,000 at the Kapuskasing River Walleye Tournament over the weekend. Mark and Summer Basaraba finished with 27 pounds, 16 ounces.
A Kap duo of Luc Portelance and Kyle Chemilewski were second with just over 26 pounds caught, while Jamie Robinson and Terry Bernath of Wawa finished third.
More than 100 anglers took part in the two day event that’s part of the Northern Ontario Walleye Trail. It wraps up with the championship later this month near Timmins.Â
