Validus Power, the company that owns co-generation power plants in Iroquois Falls and Kapuskasing has been placed in interim receivership.
Moose FM news received confirmation from CEO Todd Shortt in an email. Although, he wouldn’t go into details regarding the receivership, Shortt did say that he will disclose further information at a later. An interim receiver is a trustee appointed by the court to protect assets.
Validus Power owns a plant in Kap that sends power to the grid and as well as a data centre. Shortt did not return a comment when asked about the status of both projects.
