The government road construction project in Kapuskasing had some noticeable problems due to the heavy rain the last couple of days. Delays were reported due to a rough stretch of road and a transport that got caught in the soft edges.
Public works general manager Eric Cote says once the rain stopped, crews were kept busy with water removal and maintenance of the road.
Meantime, construction signage can be seen on Brunelle Road north, and Cote hopes that work can get started in the next two weeks from the lights at Government Road to near the Sports Palace.
