The Kap Kraze tailgate country derby is just a couple of days away. Tourism and special events coordinator Kelly Kraby says ticket sales are going great and still encourages people to buy them early. She adds the event needs more volunteers to help.
“Security, observation at the arena and the Legion who is doing our bar is also looking for volounteers who have their smart serve,” she said. “If anyone has their smart serve is interested, come help out at Kap Kraze. You can phone us at the Welcome Centre at (705) 335-2244.”
Kraby says safety is important during this weekend’s event so several shuttles have been added to get patrons home after the concert on Saturday night.
“Thanks to Lecours Motor Sales, a sponsor their providing two shuttle cars,” she said. “We have volunteers from the Kap Swim Team that are going to be driving around so it’s kind of like fundraiser for them as well. Bluebird Bus Line is going to be providing a bus shuttle from Moonbeam to Kap.”
