Nadon’s Jewellery reopens after break-in

FRIDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE, CHARGES LAID

OPP have arrested a man in connection with the break-in overnight Tuesday at Nadon’s Jewellery in Kapuskasing.

The 38-year-old Kap resident is up on 15 charges related to the burglary, drug offences and failure to comply with a release order.

He’s in jail at least until a bail hearing.

THE CHARGES

  • Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence – two counts
  • Break, enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence – two counts
  • Possession of break-in instruments
  • Mischief under $5,000 – four counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Theft over $5,000
  • Fail to comply with release order
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs

Security camera photos have been released regarding the break-in at Nadon’s Jewellery in Kapuskasing early Wednesday morning. The store reopened today after being closed.
