The Town of Kap’s website could be getting an extreme makeover. Town council is expected to approve the $24,000 expenditure through the provincial government’s modernization fund at the next meeting.
Clerk Chantal Guillemette says the website was originally developed in 2014 and is very difficult to maintain. She adds the changes will make it user friendly for both staff and residents.
“For the citizens to report things, access online features, attain more up to date information,” she said. “And it allows them to give us more feedback on things going on.”
She says it won’t take a lot of time to refresh the site.
“So I’m proposing again because of timelines and all the priorities that we have — fall winter to work on this project and hopefully it would be up and running or prior to or around Christmas.”
