The Timmins Police Service is going further afield, looking for new employees.
Communications coordinator Marc Depatie says recruiters will be at job fairs on Monday from one until five at the Timmins Campus of Collège Boréal, and in Kapuskasing on Monday the
“We’re looking for 9-1-1 dispatchers, records clerks, support staff, special constables,” he points out, “and of course, we need road warriors well – we need those constables out there as well.”
Depatie says your conversation with the recruiters will be informal, allowing you to dispel any myths about the hiring process and a career in law enforcement.
“And the potential for persons who feel that perhaps they’re too old, too young, whatever is acting as a hindrance from them pursuing a career in law enforcement, well, let’s talk about it and see what can’t be done.”
