Undergraduate Medical students from the Highway 11 corridor will benefit from a one million dollar endowment fund created by the Marcel and Frances Labelle Foundation, and a foundation from Southern Ontario.
The funding will support up to three eligible NOSM University students at a minimum of $10,000. School president Dr. Sarita Verma says the university is grateful to the Labelle Foundation for their generosity and support.
She adds that the group is truly investing in a healthier future for all of Northern Ontario.
