Ski hill bus ending its run this month

There won’t be a bus out to the Remi Lake Ski Hill starting next year.

The Town of Kap will no longer be subsidizing the bus the due to low ridership. Eight thousand dollars was budgeted for this year, while the town paid $8,900 in 2022.

Recreation Director Marc Clavelle says there were some trips when nobody was on the bus. He suggested to council that other ways be looked at to help residents enjoy the hill. One was a day sponsorship where passes and equipment rental are included in the cost.

Clavelle adds that it would be a cost effective opportunity for those who would like to use the facility.
