A Conservative candidate for the Timmins-James Bay riding may be named soon.
Conservative Association President for the Timmins-James Bay electoral district, Steve Kidd, says the party is not behind schedule.
Kidd says a candidate is expected to be named within a week.
The yet to be named candidate will be going toe-to-toe with Liberal Todd Lever, NDP incumbent Charlie Angus and Green Party candidate Max Kennedy.
The two electoral districts of Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing and Timmins-James Bay are closely connected, representing most of the population in the Northeast.
The Green Party has yet to name a candidate for our riding.
