Val Rita-Harty is hosting a winter festival this weekend that’s sure to offer plenty of fun for the entire family.
Skating and sliding for the kids and a kick-off party with live music begins the celebration on Friday night.
Communications and events coordinator Amy Salonen says Saturday’s the busiest day with a yoga class and crafts for children in Val Rita in the morning.
“The events go off to Harty for the afternoon from 12:30 to 3 pm. With a hotdog lunch, a visit to the fire station, and some activities in the baseball field.”
There’s a U-11 and U-13 hockey tournament on the outdoor rink in Val Rita. Salonen says to register for the hockey tournament or to become a volunteer contact town hall.
