A first-year film and media studies student at York University from Timmins already has her first starring role on her résumé.
Talia Jodouin plays Kai in “The Swimmer”, which was recently at the Toronto Short Film Festival and is heading out on the short festival circuit.
“She’s just basically a competitive swimmer who’s going through a really tough time in her life,” she says of Kai. “The short film is basically about her conscience getting her back on her feet and in the right direction.”
We have a link to the film right here.
Jodouin says while being a fulltime professional actor is part of her dream, she just loves the experience of a film set.
“I would love to direct my own work or just be part of the process of making it,” she remarks. “It doesn’t matter what role I play in making a movie, I just love the experience of being on a set. I love doing it all.”
Jodouin is already auditioning for her next project, whatever it turns to be.
