Moonbeam will have a race for mayor and council in this October’s municipal election.
Incumbent Nicole Fortier-Levesque is being challenged by current councillor Eric Cote. He is also the manager of Public Works for the Town of Kapuskasing and ran for the Conservatives in the recent provincial election.
Incumbents Jessica Gibson-Demers, Michel Harvey, and Helene Le Saux-Neron are all back on the ballot. Other candidates on the certified list include former Liberal candidate in the provincial election Matthew Pronovost, as well as Jacques Della Pieta, Luc Leonard and Nadine Morin.
