A Hearst man is dead following a fatal motor vehicle accident on Highway 17 near Sault Ste. Marie on Sunday.
Ontario Provincial Police say 25 year old Clovis Vallieres was travelling south when his car collided with an SUV. Vallieres was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a Soo hospital.
The highway was closed in both directions for over 16 hours. Police are continuing its investigation.
