COVID-19 Testing kits are still available for businesses from Smooth Rock Falls to Hearst. Kapuskasing and District Chamber of Commerce staff member Blair Harsall says the kits are available at their offices until this Thursday before closing for the holiday break. He says arrangements can be made if a business needs an emergency kit.
“We have been flooded by phone calls about people asking who can use the kits,” he said. “And again they are not for sale, they’re free for businesses and organizations. Fortunately at this time, we cannot give to individuals and we cannot sell them at all.”
Harsall says there are a few simple rules to follow.
“Send the results to us once a week,” he said. “We don’t need individual names, we just need the company to indicate how many tests they used and how many tests were positive, negative or inconclusive. That and they not sell the tests or give them to individuals to use.”
