Two major hospital projects in our region will be needing your support next month during the Moose FM Community Cares Radiothon. This year’s event takes place on Friday, December 10th from 6 am to 6 pm with a goal of $80,000. Sensenbrenner Hospital Foundation Coordinator Mireille Dubosq says the group wants to fundraise for a second operating room.
“But it’s not equipped at this time so it is not functional,” she said. “So with this project we plan to purchase a new anesthesia machine, an overhead light and two operating beds.”
The total cost of the project is $210,000.
Notre Dame Hospital Foundation Board Vice President Tammy Coulombe says the organization is helping to fundraise a major expansion at the hospital.
“5400 square feet with be added to the west side of the building,” she said. “So we are very excited to be fundraising again to improve the services at the hospital.”
The expansion project is worth $3.1 million and nearly half has already been fundraised.
