If you want to work for the Town of Kapuskasing in future, then you’ll have to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Town Council made the change to its hiring policy during a recent review. Mayor Dave Plourde says safety is the key.
“The intension for us is to always is to make sure that everyone who works for the town is well protected, and I think this is way of doing that making sure they are double vaccinated before they come in,” he said.
Plourde says the change makes sense.
“That really is a no brainer,” he said. “I think anybody anywhere is under the same umbrella and will be doing exactly the same thing.”
