It was another successful food drive for the Kapuskasing Fire Department on Monday.
Fire Chief Pat Kennedy reported on the department’s Facebook page that firefighters collected 5700 pounds of food and $900 in cash. That is slightly different from a year ago when 5,000 pounds of food and $3,000 in cash was picked up.
Kennedy says the firefighters were grateful for the support and a special mention to Jared Reckzine for helping to organize the event.
