UPDATE: Eight more cases confirmed, all on the coast. Total now 1,889.
Lab results have confirmed 12 Delta variant cases among people with COVID-19 in the area covered by the Porcupine Health Unit. That’s up from nine, with two more in Timmins and one along the Highway 11 corridor between Smooth Rock Falls and Matheson.
The latest number of new cases – variant or not – is eleven. Nine are up on the coast, two in Timmins. They bring the regional pandemic total to 1,881.
