Changes are on the way for housing of construction workers of the Little Long Dam safety project about an hour north of Kapuskasing.
Ontario Power Generation’s Katie Cantin says the plan was to house extra staff in Kapuskasing, but due to the increase in COVID-19 cases across the province and up north that changes had to be made. Cantin says additional staff quarters have been added and should be ready very soon.
She adds that other safety measures are on site including rapid testing kits, temperature monitoring, daily screening, and physical distancing requirements.
