UPDATE: Nine more cases added. Five are in Timmins, four in what the health unit calls the area of Cochrane, Matheson, Iroquois Falls and Smooth Rock Falls. Total now 1,442 with 318 currently active.
Forty new COVID-19 cases reported today send the Porcupine Health Unit region crashing through the 1,400 mark. The number since the pandemic started is now 1,433.
Fifty-two more cases moved into the “resolved” column, but there are 309 currently active cases.
