COVID-19 case count takes another jump

Another major jump in COVID-19 cases for our region today.  The Porcupine Health Unit’s reporting 41 new cases, bringing the total so far to 1,266.

That number has more than doubled since the end of April.

Twenty-seven of the cases are in Timmins; eight between Smooth Rock Falls and Matheson; five in the area of the James and Hudson Bay coasts and one in the Hearst-Hornepayne corridor.
