Hospital asks Town to help fix up access road

Sensenbrenner Hospital has asked for help from Town Council to repair a heavily used road on the property. The section of road separates the hospital from the EMS buildings and is used by residents as a quick access or a bypass to Avenue Road and Ottawa Streets. Mayor Dave Plourde says they want to add it to next year’s budget.

“We are seeing the town people use this road on a regular basis,” he said. “”I’m not sure of the traffic count on the street but it’s quite busy with thru traffic.”

There had been some discussion by council at perhaps transferring the road from the hospital to the municipality, but can’t because of where the road is located.

We are looking at different things next year to maybe link up Avenue Road and Ottawa street much better,” he said.
