Timmins and District Hospital is not the only hospital in Ontario to declare a COVID-19 outbreak.
Porcupine Health Unit medical officer of health Dr. Lianne Catton says she knows of others.
“There’s been several in Southern Ontario that have announced this and worked through the process and that continue to work through the process that have involved staff and residents,” she says. “Yes, I am aware that there are some.”
Catton says the one patient who triggered the declaration at TADH was tested during admission for another ailment.
