Swimming Pool expected to be on agenda of tomorrow’s Kap Town Council Meeting

Local residents could find out later Thursday whether or not their councilors will begin the process to apply for funding for a new swimming pool for Kapuskasing. A Town Council meeting originally set for Tuesday has been moved to tomorrow night at 6 pm, and it’s expected that there will be discussion regarding the Province’s new funding for recreation projects . That program can fund over 70 per cent of the construction start-up for things such as a new pool. Other topic’s at that Council meeting include the discussion about a strategic plan and what it could mean for the future direction of the town.
