Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend. In this case they are going to be helping the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation. De Beers Group has donated a 1 Carat Diamond from Victor Mine that the Hospital Foundation will be raffling off for $100 a ticket. Manager of Donor Relations Barb McCormick says the proceeds of the draw will be going to the critical care technology upgrades. McCormick says the Provincial Government provides assistance for Operational Costs and any equipment or technology upgrades are all done through the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation. Tickets can be purchased at the Foundation office located in the Timmins and District Hospital, from any foundation board member. The draw will take place live on November 1st.
