Wasn’t that a party? A great time was had by all this past weekend at the 20th Kapuskasing Lumberjack Heritage Festival that took place at Riverside Park. There were activities for the entire family and a big concert on Saturday night that featured plenty of local talents. Committee Chairman Sebastien Lessard says it’s hard to maintain the festival year after year in this day and age where people want new all the time.
The Lumberjack Heritage Festival Committee took time to recognize two long time business people for their contributions to the community and the way of life. Julian ‘Frenchy’ Vivancos and Yvon Dallaire were shown appreciation by the Festival Committee during the opening ceremonies on Friday night. Committee Chairman Lessard says both Julian and Yvon deserve the respect and the appreciation from everyone.
