‘Stellar Science’ comes to Kapuskasing

An activity Friday in the auditorium at the Kapuskasing Civic Centre is one of those opportunities for your kids to have fun, without realizing they’re learning something.

The public library is presenting “Stellar Science” from Science North. CEO Julie Latimer says it features seven hands-on stations with buttons and levers.

“Kids from two years old up to about 12 or 13 will learn about planets, stars, gravity, space exploration and so much more,” she notes.  “There is even an astronaut challenge.”

There’s also a live presentation that’s more down to earth, dealing with the changing seasons.

“It’s being held in the Civic Centre Auditorium in Kapuskasing,” notes Latimer, “and so the kids with their parents or guardians can come freely between 1:00 and 3:30 and then at 3:30 it’s the live show, and everything ends at 4:00.”

There’s no admission fee.
