The Kapuskasing Food Bank is giving you another reason to use the ‘Pay and Display’ meters in and around the Circle.
The town of Kapuskasing has decided that during the week of December 4th through 11th they will be collecting all the money from their ‘Pay and Display’ meters around town to donate to the food bank.
Chair of Finance Dave Plourde says the idea stems from the wonderful creativity of a community member a few years ago.
Plourde says it can be frustrating to pay for parking but at least the money is going to a good cause.
The money collected from the ‘Pay and Display’ meters will allow the food bank to help those less fortunate during the holiday season.
