Hughes Says Government Doing Little About Eating Disorders

Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing MP Carol Hughes says the federal government is doing very little to create more awareness about eating disorders.

Over the winter Hughes first introduced a Private Member’s Bill to create a national strategy to deal with eating disorders.

Now she’s given her fellow MPs a petition making the same request.

Hughes says eating disorders are treatable but adds people in this group don’t get enough care and sometimes the care they get is unreliable.
