Upgrades are finally coming to the system software of both the Water & Wastewater plants in Kapuskasing.
Manager of Public Works Eric Cote says the current SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system has caused numerous issues for both plants over the years.
Cote says his proposal to town council was to help improve their system through separation from the town’s IT structure.
He says council has approved their proposal for an update to the system.
Council’s approval of the proposal will ensure the system operates in a more suitable manner according to Cote.
