Mayor Alan Spacek Says Kapuskasing Happy to Participate in Opioid Crisis Plan

The province of Ontario is calling a meeting for mayors of all communities to help put a stop to a possible growing opioid crisis.

Kapuskasing Mayor Alan Spacek says the proposed $2.5 million dollar opioid plan by the provincial government seems a worthwhile investment.

Spacek says that although the opioid epidemic has not been as unpleasant in northern municipalities, it is still problematic.

The Ontario government plans to fund the opioid plan set forth by the city of Ottawa.
