OPP across Ontario have tallied their R.I.D.E. numbers for the holiday period, and they don’t paint a pretty picture.
Figures show that six-people died over the seven week checkpoint period.
Five people were killed as a result of highway collisions and the sixth person was killed in an off-road vehicle.
In addition to the deaths, police investigated 270 crashes where innocent people got hurt as a result of the driver being impaired.
