The Town of Kapuskasing is holding their council meeting tonight.
On the agenda includes recommendations to approve the enactment of the zoning by-law, to declare a surplus and stop-up, close and convey Federal Road and to consider purchasing a new fire chief vehicle.
There’s also a request from the Remi Ski Club to have a fundraiser toonie drive with toll gates set up through town. Another item on the agenda is a recommendation to approve the request from the Accessibility Advisory Committee to provide additional hours for the Helper Bus to reduce wait times.
Council will also take a look at the budget for the Lumberjack Festival at their meeting tonight. The town has applied for funding for the Lumberjack Festival, but have included two scenarios in case the funding is denied.
The meeting will be taking place at the Civic Centre tonight at 5:30pm.
