A man from Cochrane has been fined $1,350 for hunting offences.
The individual was pulled over by a conservation officer this past summer who found a loaded .22 in the truck along with a beaver and a muskrat, both of which were shot and killed out of season. The man also had a high-powered rifle on him during open bear season with no license to hunt them and was fined for firing his weapon from a vehicle.
The Cochrane man has been banned from hunting until February of 2018.
